What is Androgenetic Alopecia? Common hereditary hair loss also known as male and female pattern baldness.
The androgenetic alopecia represents close to 95% of hair loss. Also, defined in two parts (Andro) means to consist of androgen which are various hormones that control the appearance and development of masculine characteristics such as testosterone. (Genetics) inheritance of genes from either the mother or father.
This is the most common hair loss men suffers from. Why male hair loss falls recognizable patterns remains a mystery.
Most women and children suffer from this alopecia after puberty. It generally develops slowly over 15 to 30 years and increases with age.
